We were informed that HECO has completed the repairs.
Kaiser High School will be open tomorrow, 5/22/17, as normal.

POWER OUTAGE AT KAISER HIGH SCHOOL

At about 11:11 am, a transformer behind the campus blew and caused a small fire on the pole it was mounted.  

As a result, the entire campus does not have electricity.

Mahalo to HFD for quickly putting out the fire.

HECO is aware of the outage.  

The Cafeteria was able to serve lunch today.  


As we do have phone and water service,

THE SCHOOL REMAINS OPEN UNTIL NORMAL DISMISSAL TIME.

GRADUATING SENIORS: LUNCH ACCOUNT REFUNDS

Graduating seniors, please complete and return the Lunch Account Refund Request form by May 8, 2017.  
This form will instruct the office what to do with any balance remaining in your account. 

You have the option to:
  • request a refund
  • transfer to a sibling
  • donate the balance to the school

For those that turn in the form by the May 8th deadline, there will  be a drawing to win a prize!!

SUMMER SCHOOL

Kaiser High will again be offering Summer School.  The courses will be an INTENSIVE summer session for students.
Due to the amount of material covered in such a short time, please be sure to carefully review the Attendance Policy. 
Registration will begin on April 17, 2017, from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm in the Library. 
Registrations may also be submitted April 18, 2017 - May 1, 2017, to the Front Office or directly to Mr. Scott Iwanaga in Room H303 during normal business hours.

Graduation 2017: On-Stage Roles for Seniors

There will be an informational meeting in H102 at 12:25pm on Friday, February 24, for all seniors interested in the following roles at graduation: 
  • singing the state song, Hawaii Pono'i
  • singing the national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner 
  • conducting the class song, Today My Life Begins
  • conducting our alma mater
  • explaining the significance of the ritual, and then leading the class in the switching of their tassels
If you are interested, but for some important reason you are unable to attend the meeting, please visit or email Mrs. Fernandes before 2/24/17. Thank you!  

Senior Luau

Who: Open to Grade 12. You do not need a date to attend. Guests must be at least high school age and no older than 20 years of age. Photo ID is required.

When: Friday, March 3, 2017, 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm 

Where: Waialae Country Club 4997 Kahala Ave, Honolulu, HI 96816

Cost: $56.00 per person (Cash or check made payable to Kaiser High School)

Deadlines: Payment and completed forms will be collected from January 23-27 (Monday-Friday), behind the library during lunch on a first-come, first-served basis.

January 27th, Friday will be the absolute last day of collection.

Table sign-ups and refunds will be from January 30, Monday to February 3, Friday behind the library during lunch on a first-come, first-served basis.

Re-selling of seats is not permitted.

National Honor Society Applications Available

Students in grades 10 and 11 who have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above are eligible to apply for membership in the National Honor Society.

Information on the other requirements for membership will be provided at an important meeting on Wednesday, February 1st, at 12:15 in H102. Download a copy of the NHS Application Packet below and bring it with you to the meeting. Limited copies of the packet will be available in H102.
