Phising Scam Alert

Aloha Cougar 'Ohana,

We would like you to be aware of a phishing scam which occurred over the weekend involving several faculty and staff members. The perpetrator named their self 'Justin Mew', and used an email which was not DOE related. They then proceeded to ask a favor of purchasing iTune cards, scratching the hidden code, and then emailing a photo of the scratched off numbers.

At this time, we have no reason to believe that parents, guardians, students, or community members email addresses were compromised.

If you receive an email from Principal Mew, the only authorized addresses are below:

justin_mew@notes.k12.hi.us; justin_s_n_mew@notes.k12.hi.us
justin_mew@hawaiidoe.org
jmew@kaiserhs.k12.hi.us (Kaiser GAFE Account

Police reports have been filed.

Mahalo for your attention to this matter,
Ann
