Access to Technology
For students who would like their device added to the school network, you will need to turn in a Technology Responsible Use Form, bring the signed Device to Campus form, the device and their school ID. They can come to H201 before school, recess, lunch or afterschool or they can email me to schedule a day and time.
The following rules apply:
-
You must have a fully executed Technology Responsible Use Form on file with the school. Invalid, defective, or missing forms will result in a non-connection, and you will be asked to return on a different day.
-
You are limited to one (1) device only. You may elect to change this device later on.
-
Your MAC Network Hardware address will be captured and recorded. The hardware address will be used to identify your device as a personal device and is one of the two keys necessary for your device to connect.
-
By connecting your personal device, you agree that HIDOE and any of its employees or contractors may connect to your device. HIDOE makes no guarantee of privacy or security on your device once it is connected to the school network. HIDOE can "see" or "capture" any network traffic sent to and from your device.
-
Connecting your personal device to the school network is a privilege and is for educational purposes only. This privilege may be rescinded for violations of the Technology Responsible Use Guidelines and/or Technology Responsible Use Form, disruptive actions within or outside the school environment, or by administrative decision.
-
You are not required to connect to the school network to access school resources that are ordinarily available.
