CONGRATULATIONS VERA WANG – NATIONAL STOCKHOLM JUNIOR WATER RPIZE WINNER!

CONGRATULATIONS VERA WANG – NATIONAL STOCKHOLM JUNIOR WATER RPIZE WINNER!
Over the summer, Vera Wang represented Hawaiʻi as the state winner of the 2025 SJWP competition at Washington University in St. Louis. Here, she received the James L. Condon Recognition for Environmental Stewardship award, which carries a scholarship of $1,000. Awarded to only one project—to honor the legacy of the late James L. Condon, former national Chair for the U.S. Stockholm Junior Water Prize competition—this special award recognizes a project that "represents environmental stewardship, working with the community, taking your project beyond the paper, and out into the world. Vera added, " I'm truly thankful and humbled for my project to be one of the five top national award recipients and proud to be the first and only finalist from Hawaii in recent years to receive this honor.” Congratulations Vera!
