HIROSHIMA PEACE SCHOLARSHIP

Applications are open for the 2026 Hiroshima Peace Scholarship (HPS), available to Oahu high school juniors interested in peacebuilding, leadership, and learning about the relationship between Hawaii and Hiroshima.
Each year, one student from a public school and one from a private school are selected as HPS Scholars. The program includes monthly workshops in Honolulu and an educational summer trip to Hiroshima, where students will visit historic sites, participate in the August 6 Peace Memorial events, take part in school exchanges, and stay with local host families.
