KAISER NORTH SHORE RECOVERY PROJECT
Huge mahalo to everyone for support our North Shore Recovery Project. From last week til this past Saturday our student body collected well over 10k worth of supplies, food and water for the Waialua community from Kaiser students, staff, family and community. By Saturday night, our Student Activities Center was packed!
On Sunday, 30 paddlers from Hui Nalu Canoe Club came in to help our leadership team load a 20 ft. moving truck that was donated by a real estate company for the transport. When we arrived in Waialua, our kids got to work directly with Kaiser alum who were community organizers and leading the supply hubs, and got to see what a massive community network looks like following a natural disaster.
Leadership students from all classes helped along the way and really took great ownership in the project and enjoyed the experience.
Our drive continues this week at Costco-Hawaii Kai, ending this Friday.
