MARINE BIOLOGY CLASSES STUDY STREAM BIODIVERSITY
Back in September, our Cougar marine scientists partnered with UH Mānoa to survey the health of Oʻahu’s streams, partly based on counts of native and invasive species. Kaiser teacher, Mr. Darin Kohara, reported that they found, as expected, more invasive species than native ones. Great opportunity for our students to experience field work and make an impact to keep our streams healthy. Also, great lesson for all to learn what is invasive vs. non-invasive.
