Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center volunteer program: Spring break and summer
|
For students ages 15 and older.
Many students seek volunteer hours, want to strengthen their scholarship or college applications, or are simply looking for a meaningful way to contribute to their community. Our program is a great fit for students with varying interests, especially those who enjoy working with young children or want to explore future roles in education, social sciences, healthcare, or museum education. Volunteers gain hands-on experience and the chance to develop practical skills in a supportive, playful environment.
During our fall, winter, spring, and summer school break camps, volunteers assist camp teachers with small groups of preschool or elementary-aged children. They help facilitate activities, practice communication and classroom management skills, learn to take initiative, and contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and positive experience for our young children. Currently, we are looking for additional volunteers for spring break and summer. https://forms.gle/ |
