hi I'm Kayla and on vent and behind us is number one ranked public high school in Hawaii Kaiser High School home of the Cougars just to know this 2020 to 2021 school year all students will be required to wear masks and keep a 6-foot social distance cut it and also make sure to follow the paw prints and slippers painted on the ground when walking from class to class or around certain areas of the campus now let's show you around front office you'll be greeted by a wonderful front office. If you ever need anything such as student passes replacement ID or send it out this form still be more than happy to assist you you can also enter money into your school lunch account by placing deposits in this box and off to the left you'll find the office of our principal mr. meal would like to share a few words mr. Mia hello students and welcome to another school year Henry J Kaiser High School I'm asking you to be open-minded because you are going to make history this is the very first time that we are going to have a blended instructional situation make the best of your experiences but you just have been preparing very hard during the summer so that learning can continue my advice is also to please get involved with Kaiser High School are student government and Leadership have been working hard to give you the spirit of Kaiser High School make it happen good luck and May the force be with you thank you mr. Mew on the right side you'll find the offices of our vice principals Miss Mahone mitakihara Diaz and Mister Being Earnest in the corner you'll find her health room not only does it serve as a place to go when your injured or not feeling well but it also serves as a place to store your bookie backdrop the day over on those racks if you look down this whole you'll find all of your counselors who are ready to help you through any situation this year our 12th grade counselor is Mister Calico it are you 11 where is Vista Torre our 10th grade counselor is Miss takashima r93 counselor is Miss ECE and their parent Community Network coordinator is Miss here in the back front office building you can find a registrar Miss Polly Pocket for schedule changes transfer pickups and more now let us show you the rest of Campus let's go before we reach our first building let us show you all the Great Lawn enter school annual Earth Fest festival with booths entertainment entry now follow us around the rest of Campus welcome to h building or some call it the Math building here you'll find all of your mathematics from Algebra 1 all the way to AP calculus although it is often referred to as the Math building h building also contains two very important rooms on the first floor the Keiser Student Government room and the College and Career Counseling Center here in the student government room different branches of Keiser student government program have meeting such as the Keiser student council and the inter-club council rightfully so they'll find the office of our Student Activities coordinator Miss Hernandez inside and next door is the College and Career Counseling Center here you can attend college visits from various colleges Across the Nation and equally important you also find our College and Career counselors if we e Embassy Saratoga willing to help you with any post high school guidance you may need now let's move on to the next building but before we reach the next building let us show you the pieces is a nobility Garden this Garden was created and sustained by the white boat cruise in environmental Club Campus Inn open for volunteer this Garden is home to over a dozen native Hawaiian Time sometime only here in Mount alua now let's introduce the building right next to it behind me is one of the bigger buildings on campus and see Building C building is on the left of the staircase and a building is on the right of it a wide variety of class that take place in East Building including core subjects such an English language arts social studies and science in here by the elevator is the bulletin board where you can find pictures or posters from various Student Activity here on the second floor of a building you can also find our schools Publications program which produced the Kaiser yearbook and the cougar connection the official newspaper of Kaiser High School you have so much more to show you can follow us to our next stop. play behind us is K Building located at the front of the building and right behind us it's a library essential to all student inside tackling such as the NHS blood drive at Keiser Student Government recognition ceremony the average wedding ceremony and so much more here in the back of Kaling you'll find her school's computer science class and our media Communications Learning Center or mplc for short or mtlc has given us the honor of being the only public high school in the state to win the All-American high school Film Festival taking place all the way in New York City now without further Ado let's continue on with the tour on your way to the other side of Campus you'll come across our school's cafeteria. Hub of not only eating but also are many things socialize while watching on participating in the men events that take place outside of the lunch. Even more events take place here so just Town Halls presentation award money and more right outside of the cafeteria is the Gathering Place in area with tables and chairs for students and their friends to hang out outside of bar now let's continue on with the tour on your way to the next building you'll come across the rain Garden this Garden was created by the interact Club to catch rainwater and prevent the art building from flood and the mirrors from getting damaged now let's move on to the next building we've arrived at evening he'll find most of our school's World language classes Career and Technical education classes as well as some special education classes you're on the first floor of the building is the culinary classroom earlier this year has very own culinary students on the Grapevine chili cook-off now let's take a short walk over to F building here in one of the corners of Campus f30 inside your final scores weight room the Air Force Junior Reserve officer training Corps classrooms graphic design and Fiber Arts on second floor are the JROTC classrooms are JROTC Cadets participate and Men plants around the island such as competing and drill or Special Forces competition or attending leadership training camp let's take a short stroll over to the next building now we are now at G building as you can tell from the walls around us this is building home too many of our schools fine arts classes including Visual and Performing Arts you're in the upper level you'll find most of our visual arts classes such as photography Ceramics drawing and Painting and More and on the lower level you'll find some of our performing fine arts classes such as drama band and Orchestra down here you might also come across black box theater the drama classroom and the venue of kreiser's annual school play I follow us to the final classroom building on the first floor of new building or the locker room any course involving physical activity has locker room here on the second floor you can find more performing arts classes such as guitar ukulele Keiser College and Career prep class health strategies classes and the natural resources class well we have finished introducing all of the classroom building but let's show you a few more important areas of Campus welcome to Kaiser's gymnasium where many sporting events take place outside of sporting events School assemblies and some concerts also take place in the gym and thanks to our communities efforts we also have a brand new sound system to make use of even more enjoyable you're in the back side of the gym other activities take place such as creative dance classes are Horry for Judo and wrestling practices you can find our swimming diving in water polo team practicing hard for the next competition now let's move on to the next place welcome to Cougar Stadium complete with a brand new track and field and another site for our many sporting events other events that take place here include our homecoming halftime show and our graduation ceremony now for the last part of the to the softball and baseball fields here you'll find her softball and baseball teams working hard to compete to be the best well I hope you enjoyed the tour now let's see what else Kaiser has to offer moving on to Kaiser's Academic Program Kaiser is an ivy school which means we offer IB Program International Baccalaureate diploma program or ibdp is an academically challenging and balance program in education with final examination that prepare students for Success at University and life beyond this program addresses the intellectual social emotional and physical well-being of students this program also requires the students to take 6 two-year college level IB courses next is the international Baccalaureate career-related program ATP is a framework of International Education that incorporates the values of the IB Program into a unique program addressing the needs of students engaged in career related education the cp4 bridges The Ivy academic courses and a career related and provide students with a combination of academic and practical skills this program requires students to take at least two 2-year college level IB courses Kaiser also offers Career and Technical education classes the CTE program allows students to learn College and Career Readiness skills and immerse themselves and career-related experiences the four program Kaiser offers is arts and Communication business public and Human Service natural resources in addition to these Academic Program Kaiser also offers a variety of a college-level advanced placement courses in subjects such as art calculus computer science psychology English language composition English literature and composition biology chemistry and environmental science Kaiser also offers the elective course Avid Avid is based on wiggler writing collaboration patient and reading in this program teachers work with students to maximize their potential while strengthening these critical skills for a successful future now that we're done with what else Kaiser has to offer Kaiser currently has 25 clubs and organizations on campus that you can join there are many special interest clubs which include clubs for students who share the same Hobbies like anime manga club's Art Club chess club cooking club drama club film studies Graphic Arts Club Outdoors club and singing Club we also have clubs that are centered around future career goals such as computer science club Humane Society Club medical card and cultural Club such as Japanese club and Kpop club we also globes that focus on social issues such as Amnesty International the GSA and the women in leadership organization Dimock Center clubs which include math team Model United Nation and National Honor Society we also have environmental clubs like the leaf club and white boat cruise and we have three community service clubs interact Club Leo Club Auntie Club Kaiser also has many sports teams that you can try out for free fall Sports there is air riflery bowling cheer cross country football JV softball soft tennis and girls volleyball JV baseball basketball paddling soccer swim JV girls tennis first string Sports there is varsity baseball golf Judo Varsity Softball Varsity tennis track and field boys volleyball and girls water polo as you can see we have many co-curricular and extracurricular activities and we hope that you have found one that interests you didn't and Leadership training classes primary events throughout this we are Christians to enjoy it and come together as a class or school there is one class for every grade level and one for the entire student body with each having their own class advisor class advisors guided classes to ensure that transparent smoothie and decisions are made in the best interest of the student body this year are 9th grade class advisor will be mr. Bogart our 10th grade class advisor will be Miss Matthew 11 created by two will be mr. Villas are 12th grade advisor will be mr. Kanaka and her student body advisor will be Miss Fernandez now let's show you what kind of students have to say about their school we call ourselves an ivy school but what does that mean attending an IB School means that I can keep pushing myself to achieve greater goals for my education all of us are given the opportunity to obtain the education that we need in order to face whatever comes to us in our future no matter where we in the world NIV School means learning about a world that's bigger than yourself what do you love about Kaiser take me a lot of people that we're very involved but their Community outside school I love all the opportunities that Kaiser offer and finally what are you looking forward to I'm really looking forward to homecoming next year I'm looking forward to starting IV DP do people eat Rock in football before we go with some helpful tips to survive and make the most of your high school experience take classes that you enjoy to do because it's so much easier to do work for a class like versus one that you don't like it as much right in your planner just make sure that you do all your work and you turn it in on time cheer tryout for sports and clubs befriend teachers work hard and don't be afraid to ask for help learn about everything Kaiser has to offer and don't let any opportunities pass last night as a student or teacher around you still be able to help well I'm giving you all an inside look at Kaiser he just wanted to wish you the best of luck in high school and hope that you cherish the many lifelong memory you make before we leave you we just wanted to say welcome to the Kruger alhana
